Dieters often reject sandwiches and consider them to be junk food – but is it fair?
Actually, this statement about sandwiches is correct because sandwiches contain butter, bread from refined flour and sausage. Nutritionists blame these products for the lack of vitamins and minerals, excess salt, transgene fats, and dyes.
Dietary sandwiches with fresh greenery and vegetables are a different thing. Doctors recommend substituting sausage for home cooked meat. Recently, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has published the results of the research carried out in Sweden, which confirms that eating freshly cooked meat, regardless of the method of its preparation, does not lead to an increase in cardiovascular problems.
As for bread, choose some of its whole meal or wholegrain varieties rather than the bread made from white flour.
