How to Feel Less Tired after Physical Exercises

The eternal problem of independent training is the question of motivation and the natural subconscious fear of fatigue. Forcing yourself to do it, you think that the workout can be stopped at any time, if it becomes too difficult for you. But the most surprising thing is that no one makes you stop and you are not pursued by an angry lion. All the motivation and energy are already inside you – you just need to find the right approach. We will tell you how simple tricks can help you take a fresh look at physical exercises and not fall victim to unreasonable circumstances.

Start small

Of course, striving for a great goal is very rational and correct, but instead of forcing yourself to prevail over fatigue and do exercise after exercise, it is better to start small. Set yourself small and achievable short-term goals, and you will be freed from mental exhaustion, which provokes laziness and natural rejection from the process. Start to have fun and encourage yourself for what you have achieved in this training, and the result will not take long to come.

Focus

The psychological fact is that our body is able to go beyond what is possible only when the brain is not distracted by extraneous tasks. The athletes who think only that they need to run a certain distance in a particular period of time achieve success much faster than those who try to cover global tasks, constantly reminding themselves of what is to be done.

Having set a goal, focus on it and imagine that in addition to the three minutes you spend trying to achieve the perfect twine, there is nothing else in the whole world: only you and your goal.

Record a video of yourself

Doing exercises for the camera may seem a stupid and infantile idea, but this advice is very valuable. When you train knowing that the lens is focused on you, you invariably get the same feeling that is normally caused by the coach’s or friend’s presence.

You will subconsciously begin to do your best and, thinking that you are being filmed, you will be distracted from the constant awareness of being tired and having to endure it. In addition, when you finish and watch your workout, you will be able to evaluate your efforts, identify the shortcomings that you need to work on, or enjoy how well you have performed this set.

Find your mantra

Whispering or mentally experiencing this or that phrase may seem meaningless to someone, but it works. The only thing you need to take care of is to find your mantra, the one that will be effective for you. Do not underestimate the effect that motivating or inspiring phrases produce on our mind and inner feelings.

It can be anything: a favorite quote or phrase that describes you in the state that you want to achieve. The main thing is to add meaning, individuality and personal experience. Our thoughts are material, and people have long ceased to laugh at this.

Use the magic “later”

Developing the idea of magic phrases, it is important to note that what we say to ourselves during training becomes our inner motivation and attitude. “I’ll drink water a little later”, “I’ll make a short break soon.” These “soon” and “later” usually never come when you are focused on the fact that your set has not yet ended, but you also do not deprive yourself of what you want.

Take breaks

If you feel that you are gradually running out of energy or doing exercises becomes more difficult for some reason, take a break. In independent fitness, it is better to work according to the principle of the pyramid. First, you do the exercise for one minute, then for two and three minutes. After a short break, you move to the next set.

Gradual increase in the load is a trick that all the athletes use, as it helps to gradually reveal your potential and inner motivation.

Stick to the program

Choosing the most suitable training program for yourself and sticking to it is the tip that has two obvious advantages. First, you will have to perform specific tasks, not burdening yourself with unnecessary thinking, and secondly, a well-designed program helps to achieve a visible result.

Following the instructions created by experienced coaches, you will quickly notice the changes without hurting your health, which is very important. In terms of psychology, you will have much less responsibility because you clearly follow the instructions. If you are doing sports for the reasons of a healthy lifestyle rather than setting world records, remember that it is very important not only to evaluate yourself objectively, but also to enjoy the process, concentrating on the positive result you have achieved.
